explains the Genji decides to go into self-imposed exile in Suma (chs. 10,12 and 13), implying that he accepts responsibility for some crime? The narrative does not supply any clear answer, but offers many ambiguous hints. Refer to the last two pages of ch. 10 and the first several pages of ch.12, especially the conversation between Genji and the Minister of the Left. One problem is that Genji claims to be entirely innocent. Is he? And what is the significance of the manner of his exile (the musical instruments and the books he takes with him, the style od his house in Suma, etc)?
consider the "kaimami" (peeping)scene in ch.45. The most important thing is every sentence is including citation likes that (Tyler 22)or (Tyler 22-24).Next, required text book is The Tale of Genji by Murasaki Shikibu (Royall Tyler,2001 translator; Vintage, unabridged paperback edition),Published by the Penguin Group. Thank you very much for writing my essay and if you have any questions, please feel free to send my e-mail and I reply ASSP. Second essay was I argue that Genji was guilty on all counts.
